Cheboygan Light's

Following Route 23 along Lake Huron brought us to Cheboygan and the Cheboygan River Front Range lighthouse.

There was a volunteer elderly couple running the premises and showing the house.

This house was pretty beat up and needs restoring.

This is also the first lighthouse I have been to that has regular wooden stairs with landings instead of spiral steel.




This light sits on the Cheboygan River and from the top of it you could see the Cheboygan Crib Light on Lake Huron at the mouth of the river.

You have to look close - it's right below the yellow arrow.




The man working the house jumped in his car and lead us to the Crib. He unlocked it for us so we could climb up into it.
