Grand Traverse Lighthouse

Departing Leland, we continued up the Peninsula via M-22 to it's furthest point north, which is the town of Northport.

 From Northport, M-22 runs back south down the other side of the Peninsula and terminates in Traverse City.

 We are going to ride it down, but first we must run some back roads up to the tip of the peninsula to Leelanau State Park and visit the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.














We browsed the gift shop and small museum,then paid the couple bucks and went into the lighthouse and climbed the tower.

Now that is a stove !!!







Back on the road, we pass through Northport and take M-22 south along Grand Traverse Bay towards Traverse City. 

 What a wonderful day - perfect weather.
